If you click inside a shape and it becomes unselected, it probably has no fill. The bounding box is a feature that can be toggled on or off, and that allows you to transform a shape without leaving the Selection tool.Ģ Using the Selection tool, click inside the rectangle and drag it to another location on the page (do not click on the handles, as that resizes the shape). If the bounding box is still not visible, choose View > Show Bounding Box. If you do not see the eight handles, make sure you have the rectangle selected by clicking on it once. A bounding box with eight handles appears around the rectangle you just drew. Now that you have your first shape on the page, perhaps you want to relocate it or alter its shape or size.ġ Choose the Selection tool ( ) from the Tools panel.
